Bradford Arthur Caffrey

On 18 March 2008 the Administrative Decisions Tribunal handed down its findings with respect to an information filed in respect of Bradford Arthur Caffrey.

The Tribunal found Bradford Arthur Caffrey guilty of unsatisfactory professional conduct in respect of 13 particulars of complaint, relating to his behaviour towards the opposing party and the arbitrator during the conduct of an arbitration.

On 7 July 2008 the Tribunal handed down its decision on penalty.  The Tribunal made the following orders:

  1. that Bradford Arthur Caffrey be and is publicly reprimanded pursuant to s171C(1)(e) of the Legal Profession Act 1987;

  2. that the Tribunal’s orders made and reasons given on 18 March 2008 be published including Bradford Arthur Caffrey’s name;

  3. that  the orders and reasons given on 7 July 2008 be published including Bradford Arthur Caffrey’s name; and

  4. that Bradford Arthur Caffrey pay the Bar Council’s costs agreed in the sum of $58,290.
