Wednesday 14 July 2010 Arbitration Workshop 1 of 3 The ADR Committee is offering members with 7 years’ experience as legal practitioners and a practising certificate the opportunity to become approved Arbitrators. Attendees will be required at all three two-hour workshops (to be held on Wednesday 18 August and Wednesday 8 September). Thursday 22 July 2010 The UN, the Genocide Convention and the Human Rights Revolution 65 Years Later: What Have We Learned; What Must We Do? This breakfast seminar will commence at 7.30am. Irwin Cotler MP was Canada's Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada from 2003 until 2006. He is considered an expert on international law and human rights law, and has served as counsel to former prisoners of conscience Nelson Mandela in South Africa, Jacobo Timmerman in Latin America, Muchtar Pakpahan in Asia, as well as other political prisoners and dissidents.
